Regular Dental Checkups

What Can I Expect During My Checkup?

When you visit your dentist for the first time, it can be intimidating. We understand that! This is why we offer our dental services in a comfortable, calming, and supportive environment. Here is what you can expect when you arrive for your checkup at All Smiles Dental:

Professional Cleaning

Our team will perform a professional cleaning to remove any plaque and tartar from the surfaces of your teeth. Over time, plaque and tartar can build up on your teeth, allowing the bacteria they contain to attack your teeth and gums. You can prevent cavities and gum disease by visiting us for your next cleaning. Cleanings also help remove stains, brighten your smile, and freshen your breath!

Full Examination

A full examination will allow our team to evaluate your overall oral health. Our team will check your teeth, gums, and other tissues for signs of damage, infection, or decay. We will also check for loose or broken dental restorations. Once we’re finished, we can make the appropriate treatment recommendations to address any issues we may notice during your exam.

Digital X-rays

While you’re here, we will take digital X-rays. Digital X-rays are comfortable and efficient, allowing us to assess the health of your teeth, gums, tooth roots, and jawbones instantly. They also emit up to 80 percent less radiation than traditional film X-rays, making them safe for patients of all ages.

Oral Cancer Screening

Early detection is the key to effectively fighting oral cancer! Our team performs screening as part of your preventive dental care to check for signs of cancerous and precancerous conditions.

The establishment is clean and well decorated and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I was given options to treat my gums and not force fed a sales pitch, which is a big deal to me. They did a great job while showing that they truly care about my oral health.

My family and I have been coming here for over 5 years. I was always afraid of the dentist as a kid, but now enjoy them taking care of my teeth. I am no longer fearful.

I came here with so many dental issues!!! The previous dentist I had made my problems even worse and I thought there was no end to the pain. I went to Dr. Kenny Abedini and he worked on my mouth for 9 months to get all the work I wanted done. Two deep cleanings, a root canal, ten gold crowns fitted just right (3 lower left 3 lower right 2 top right 2 top left all in the back) so I can still smile and you cannot see the gold. The best part no more pain!!! I have TMJ so I clench and grind my teeth until I cracked my other porcelain down. So this time I wanted gold so the metal will not crack or grind down as fast, and might last the rest of my life. Now the teeth in the back feel great, and look great. I would recommend him to everyone and will be a returning customer for years to come.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. My hygienist was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and gentle. My time with the doctor was short, because I didn’t have any major issues but he seemed nice. The whole appointment felt fast but not rushed. I also appreciated that they helped me navigate my insurance. I feel comfortable and confident returning, and I’d recommend to anyone!

How Often Should I See the Dentist?

Regular visits to your dentist are vital to keeping your smile healthy. The American Dental Association recommends a checkup at least every six months. However, there’s no one-size-fits-all treatment plan that’s right for every patient. Our team will carefully examine your mouth during your next visit and recommend a preventive treatment schedule that suits your oral health needs.
